My personality

I consider myself someone who likes relating to other people and who sees change as an opportunity to learn new ways of doing things. My everyday activities and decisions aim at achieving a balanced development in all areas of my life.

I am commited to doing things right. When challenges arise, I favor facing them in a structured, yet flexible manner, analyzing the situations that I believe can be improved and finding out the underlying causes for the facts: pragmatism, empathy, and acceptance help me reaching my goals.

Last but not least, I believe that I am an ethical, trustable, and resilient person.

Short CV

I was born and raised in Mexico. After finishing my B.Sc. in 1999 at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, I worked as software developer at InterPlanet, an Internet start-up in Mexico City.

Out of personal interest, I came to Germany in 2003 to study my M.Sc. in Media Informatics at the RWTH Aachen University. After finishing it in 2006, I got offered a scholarship to pursue my PhD in Computer Science, also in Aachen, which I successfully concluded in the summer of 2010.

After finishing my PhD, I worked as Professional Development Engineer and as Technical Product Manager at Vodafone Germany, a tier-1 network operator, until 2014.

From 2014 and until 2019, I worked as Product Definition Manager for the smartphone division of Sony Electronics. With the goal of complementing my engineering profile with knowledge in the areas of business administration and general management, I decided to pursue my MBA in a part-time program at the WHU in Düsseldorf from 2014 until the end of 2016.

Since 2019, I'm working as Product Manager Connectivity & HMI for Bosch Power Tools in the Business Unit Blue Industrialized Markets.
